Setting Up Your Pixplug.com Homepage
Your homepage for your site contains different sections called pods. Each pod holds items such as your Favorite Albums, list of your Friends, etc. You can customize your homepage so that each pod is arranged in the order you prefer. You can also turn each pod on or off so that they do not appear on your homepage.

Arranging the Homepage Layout
We've found that everyone likes to arrange their homepage differently based on their individual preferences. To make this as simple as possible we put all the controls to the homepage on a single page under Site Manager > Page Settings > Homepage Layout link. Go to your Site Manager, click on the Page Settings control to the left and click Homepage Layout.

Once the Homepage Layout appears you can start arranging the pods how you would like them to appear. Click and drag any of the pods up or down to change their position on the page.

As you drag a pod it turns semi-transparent. Just drop the selected pod above or below another pod in the same column to arrange it. When you are done let go of your mouse and the order will be updated. When you are done dragging let up on your mouse button and the pod drops into place and the order of the items changes.

Remember: Don't forget to click the Apply button at the top of the page or your changes won't take effect.

Activating and Deactivating pods
You may not want to use every pod we include with Pixplug. If you want to turn off a pod just click the deactivate link on the pod and it will become inactive.

Once you click deactivate the pod changes to say activate.

You can also edit the pod by clicking the edit button. This will take you directly to the settings page for that specific pod.

Remember: Don't forget to click the Apply button at the top of the page when you are done or your changes won't take effect.

Setting Up Your Site Title and Subtitle
Your site has a title and subtitle located at the top of each page. You can customize the text for either of these. Please note, titles do not show up on album, slideshow or microshow pages.

To change your title go to the Site Manager > Site Settings > Define Site Titles link and click on it.

As you can see from the screenshot below, the controls are very simple. Just enter in what you want to say and click Apply.

The length of the titles that fit best on your site depend on the theme you choose. Some themes only have room for short titles while others have room for very long titles. Choose what works best for you.

Select Site Theme
One of the first things you will want to do when you start setting up your site is to define the theme that you want to use. Themes change the look of the main pages of your site but do not change the albums, slideshow or other presentation pages.

To change your Site Theme go to the Site Manager > Site Settings > Site Theme link and click on it.

On the Site Theme page you can choose from many different themes. Use the drop down menu at the top to select different theme categories. The quantity of themes available to you depends on the type of account you are using. The higher the level of your account, the more themes and features of Pixplug you are able to choose from.

On the Site Theme page you can apply a theme to your site by clicking the Apply button located directly beneath the theme example. When you apply the theme a gold border and a gold star appear to indicate this is the active Site Theme.

To preview what the theme looks like click the Preview button. You can also simply click the Apply button and then go to any of your site pages and see the changes appear instantly.
